A chic little end of the summer look

Hello my sweet friends! I wanted to bring the S&S the adorable look shown above just in case you might be heading out of town to a warm weather destination for an end of the summer adventure.  And if not, I thought perhaps you might be feeling a little sassy & up to the challenge of wearing this cheeky ensemble.

Now, of course another current trend is the OTS (off-the-shoulder) look.  Whether your avenue of choice be a top or a dress, it shows off just enough to create interest, while still maintaining an intriguing persona.  The wine & off-white one that I chose perfectly pairs with a cutt-offs for a more casual look or a white mini for a more crisp & sophisticated ensemble.

Following this, I completed the look off with a pair of warm brown heels with a black ankle strap.  Girls, I don’t know about you but I am always vascillating between brown & black & I have great difficulty deciding between the two.  The best part about these beauties, is that you get the best of both worlds.  They will go with either!! You don’t have to decide between the two, how incredible is that?!  And they match perfectly with my favorite fall bag from Coach.

Ladies, I hope you will give this look a try for an end of the summer or destination look.  I know you will not be disappointed!  Sending you my love & wishes for the best during the week ahead!  xoxo ♥♥

Pre-fall 2016: Black & brown hues

Hello my loves! Although the temps outside right now certainly do not indicate that summer is ending anytime soon, as we get closer to August, pre-fall fashion is continuing to become more mainstream.

Consequently, I wanted to discuss one of my favorite color combinations for the transition, brown & black.  Now, for a long time I resisted this duo along with black & navy.  However, recently I realized what a modern & classy ensemble it could be!

To accomplish the look, I paired this adorable off-the-shoulder black & floral top with my new absolute must-have bag from Coach.  Of course the top, which is only $65, is extremely versatile.  You can dress it up with a high-waisted skirt or simply pair it with your favorite black skinnies as I did above.

Now let’s talk about my new favorite accessory, this beautiful pre-fall Rogue bag.  It is made of a beautiful soft leather & is the ultimate fall hue.  The inside is just as gorgeous & has a zip-able compartment made of buttery soft suede.  Not to mention, it is the perfect size to fit your necessities, but not strain your shoulder with the extra weight if you carry it all day.  It has 2 removable straps so you can easily carry it as a clutch or an OTS bag.

And let’s not forget the watch which has a sturdy, well-made face, and a band which perfectly matches the bag! And yes, Coach does make watches! And beautiful ones at that!

I highly recommend these additions to your wardrobe, whether you want to jump on board with the OTS trend, or dive into one of these classic pieces from Coach that I can assure you will never go out of style.

I hope you have an amazing start to your week! Sending you some S&S love!! xoxo ♥♥

Mint-blue & red – the perfect combo

Hello my sweet friends! Today I wanted to bring one of my favorite color combos to you, mint-blue & red.  I find it to be a fresh variation on the classic & always patriotic summer red, white, and blue.

Now, although the off-the-shoulder look is currently on trend, you don’t have to go so far as a midriff baring version in order to follow along.  There are plenty of off-the-shoulder tops that are waist length.  Such as the one shown above, which is cute & totally affordable & only $60! Or if you are going for a more casual look, I also linked an adorable mint-blue tank by Free People below.

Then simply top it off with a tassel necklace such as mine pictured above from Ettika.  And lastly, my favorite colorful convertible crossbody/clutch Coach Swagger bag, which is truly a timeless investment piece that will be a coveted addition to your wardrobe.

This look is perfect for summer parties.  And if yours happens to be an outdoor one, depending on your personal style, a pair of white cutoff rolled denim or chino shorts, would work perfectly!

I hope you will give one or more of these pieces a try, I promise this color combo does not disappoint! Wishing you a safe & productive week ahead.  xoxo ♥♥

Summer holiday ready: black, white, & red hues

Hello my beautiful S&S friends! Today, I wanted to bring to the blog one of my favorite looks for the spring-summer transition. It combines three on-trend styles, fringe, off-the shoulder, and scallops.

As shown above, I paired a perfectly trimmed in fringe cream colored off-the shoulder top, with a pair of black shorts with scalloped edges.

Now, the best part about scalloped edges, is that they work whether they are on a crop top, simple A-line or midi-skirt, or on a cute pair of shorts. And, they always succeed in instantly dressing up the piece & making it look more feminine. I promise the finishing touches are what truly make a look!

Finally, I completed the look by accessorizing with one of my absolute favorite new bags, the soft Swagger by Coach in Carmine. As you all know, I am a sucker for a pop of color, and the color of this beauty does not disappoint. Not to mention, the leather is rich & ultra soft. It will truly be a classic & timeless addition to your wardrobe.

So, I don’t know about you but black or navy, with white & red is one of my all time favorite looks. Please give one (or two) of the pieces from this look a try. It is a perfect ensemble for the approaching summer holidays whether you are at a backyard barbecue or vacationing in the Hamptons, one of these pieces will fit the bill.

Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week my S&S friends! xoxo ♥♥

A perfectly spring look you’ll fall in love with

Hello my fabulous friends!! I hope you are having an amazing week! Today I wanted to share with you a spring look that I am totally obsessed with.

First, let me start by discussing this gorgeous skirt by Azazie! They come in a multitude of perfect pastels hues and Pantone colors (44 to be exact) if you are looking to be on trend for Spring 2016.

And the best part is, the Sylvie skirt is only $50 and it is literally the best quality fabric I have come across.  Not to mention, the layers of the skirt are so perfect & feminine.  And I promise you I would know, I grew up in tulle as a ballet dancer for 15 years!!

I paired this stunner with a beautiful floral crop top in pink hues from Nordstrom.  You can never go wrong with florals for spring, as long as it is in a consistent pattern & not so busy that the print is distracting.  And I am already visualizing wearing this top with black scalloped shorts for summer!

Add a beautiful neutral purse like the Mercer Satchel from Coach, and a pair of nude ankle strap sandals & your look is complete!  Especially once you add a pair of designer sunglasses courtesy of Shop Ditto, where if you use code SWEETANDSASSY, you get your first monthly $24 fee for free! It is extremely versatile and works perfectly for spring or summer.  And if the weather isn’t permitting for sleeveless, you can easily throw on a jean or Moto jacket, or even a cardigan.

It is such a perfect brunch or shower look, I promise you will not be disappointed with any of these classic & timeless pieces.  Wishing you a fabulous end to your week! xoxo ♥♥

Just Peachy: A Nude Variation

Hello friends! I sincerely apologize that it has been so long since my last blog post.  With family in town recently it has been hectic & the transitional spring weather has not exactly been cooperating during the weekends lately.

Nonetheless, I wanted to bring to the blog a cute look that involves peachy tones & dark blue hues.  Currently in North Carolina, the weather is fluxing back & forth between the 80’s and the 60’s, with varying temperatures in the evenings.

Therefore, I wanted to bring a look to you that would work during the day, but also included pieces that you could pair with other items in your closet that would be appropriate for those evenings with a bit of a chill in the air.

As shown above, for daytime, I layered a gorgeous peach  leather jacket, over a simple navy tank with dark denim skinny jeans & peachy nude lace-up Coach flats.  These flats are seriously the most comfortable lace-ups I have found, and they are the only ones I wear! And for evening, you can easily wear this jacket over a dressy cream or black top with nude pumps for classy, yet sophisticated look.

I hope you’ll give one or two of these beautiful pieces a try, I promise they will be a welcome & highly utilized addition to your wardrobe! Have a wonderful & productive rest of your week my loves! xoxo ♥♥

The essential pullover & satchel for spring

Hello my loves! I hope you had the most amazing weekend.  Today I am bringing to the blog one of my favorite spring looks. An über comfortable white & black speckled pullover sweater that I combined with a pair of wide leg black pants.

This sweater is so completely modern & versatile, you could easily wear it all day long during the spring season, or when you are taking a walk on the beach during a breezy summer night.  And I must confess that I literally wear it almost everyday, that is how obsessed I am with it!

The reason I combined these two pieces together, was to succeed in dressing the look up a bit, while making it appear more flowy & effortlessly chic at the same time. Below, I linked the sweater & pants similar to the ones shown above.

Now, I am also extremely excited to announce that I have joined with Coach to help promote their Spring 2016 line!! Above, I accessorized my look with their Mercer Satchel in Chalk.  It is such a wonderful bag & is the absolute perfect size.  It can be worn cross-body or carried.  It has two open compartments in the front & back, and one with a zipper in the center to keep your personal items safe.  And the best part is, it is large enough for all of your on-the-go essentials.  You absolutely must check out their spring line of handbags.  I was so impressed by the direction they have taken with their brand.

I completed the look with a gorgeous pair of rose gold studs from One by One Jewelry & a beautiful Marc Bale watch from The Peach Box.  If you have not tried either, I highly recommend their quality pieces.  If you ever have a defect or breakage with any product from The Peach Box they will send you a replacement free of charge.

I hope you will take a look at the pieces I linked below & give this look a try! I promise you will easily be able to work them into your wardrobe & personal style, no matter what it may be.  Wishing you a fabulous week ahead my friends! xoxo ♥♥
